Guests hungry for a unique culinary adventure can set their own pace to enjoy the special offers and experiences at 31 farms and wineries throughout Butte County for 31 days in October.
The new Sierra Oro Farm Trail Farm & Wine Pass, a collaboration between the Sierra Oro Farm Trail and Explore Butte County, opens the doors to amazing Butte County specialty farms and wineries where visitors can stroll through farms, pick fresh apples and pumpkins, sample tasty artisan olive oils, specialty nuts and award-winning wines, all while getting to know the dedicated local farmers and winemakers.
Participating farms and wineries will be open to tour, taste, and toast….and shop for the entire month of October. Hours for each stop are posted within the mobile pass convenient for pre-planning touring routes. Most wineries and farms are open on the weekends, and many have added hours during the week. Since this is active harvest season, some farms and wineries have modified hours of operation that are open to visitors. Please make sure to double check the pass prior to heading out to your favorite farm or winery that the farmer is open to welcome you!
The Sierra Oro Farm Trail is expanding so that we can welcome more guests with an enhanced experience, fewer crowds and more specials. This shift to a month-long tour allows guests more time to spread out and enjoy their favorite stops at their leisure without having to rush.
After purchasing the Farm & Wine Pass, download the pass to the mobile device that will be available for “check-in” at the stops along the trail. Once a mobile pass holder “checks-in” at a farm or winery, it will unlock more features and discounts unique to each location. Passholders will redeem the offers by presenting the pass on their phone at each stop.
Special events and offers will pop-up throughout the month to surprise passholders with new offers available exclusively through their digital pass.

Butte County is uniquely positioned with a diverse array of farms and wineries, making our annual passport event stand out for both wine and food enthusiasts. In addition to a gourmet tasting experience, guests get to meet generations of family farmers and winemakers. That personal relationship with the growers is what makes our tour so special.
